ABOUT THE WOMENS'S COLLEGE INFRASTRUCTURE
Infrastructure is the base of an institution on which its expansion depends. The college is located at the far northern end of the city near the river Hooghly at Baghbazar – a traditionally cultural part of Calcutta. The college authority has worked hard towards building up an infrastructure to meet the needs of the students coming from the middle class conservative families of North Calcutta & the suburbs.

Physical Infrastructure

The College is a four-storied building of which the 3rd floor has been constructed only recently.

All the departments have their own rooms. Teaching aids like microphones, projecters are provided whenever necessary by the college authority mere is intercom facility for smooth running of the whole system.

Existing playground has been renovated recently with a badminton court, a spacious lawn with a touch of green and a car-parking space for the college staff. The college canteen has been made more student-friendly within a limited space. There is also a medical room with the first-aid and a cheap store. Since the space in front of the college building is not adequate enough to hold in annual sports, the same is held in the neighboring park-named after Sister Nivedita. Within its united means, the college provides some indoor games facilities as well in common room on the 3rd floor.

The details of the infrastructure are supplied in appropriate places. The college has made constant efforts to make the campus beautiful and pollution free by creating a Nature club known as Mrittika, comprising of nature lovers from staff and students.

With its limited means of space the college leaves no stone untouched to extend the infrastructural facilities to students, teachers and staff. It is our long cherished desire that the college will be growing up as a full-fledged premiere women’s college of the locality.
